The Citadel Church and Campus Ministries is a unique, faith-based Christian community seeks to meet the total human need through spiritual enrichment and communal care. We shall accomplish this through offering educational programs and initiatives for personal development, community-wide outreach and engagement, and opportunities that promote healthy and holistic living for persons regardless of race, religion, gender, class, or orientation. We welcome and extend fellowship and benevolence to all whom are persuaded to be servants by the work of ministry.
Our Master Vision
We participate in joining together to celebrate and to worship the Lord to preaching, singing, communion, baptism, giving, praying, praising and sharing the God’s word and works. By embracing this fellowship, we believe that many will be changed.
1 Chronicles 16:27-29 (NIV)
27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 28 Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. 29 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
Enlarging the Kingdom…
We build community through corporate and individual relationships. We pray for God to open doors so that salvation may be expressed and experienced in a realistic, relational, and a responsible manner. We rely on the Lord ultimately to grow the church through the promise of the John 12:32; as well as each member in connection to the church to persuade others into the fellowship with the leading of the Lord abounding.
John 12:32 (KJV)
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
“Citadel” communicates a place where unbelievers can be made believers, where the weak can be strengthened, the young in Christ can be matured, and all can be trained. We participate in this process for the work of the ministry to one another through biblical studies, Sunday Christian Education classes (Sunday School), fellowship activities, and training experiences. We participate in the ministry of overseeing and caring for one another through encouragement and counsel in order to present every person complete in Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
The Citadel is a community of believers whose members put into effect the priorities of God: relationship with the Lord, God's work and family. Recognizing that our existence as a local church body has been mandated and ordained by God, we endeavor to fulfill the call of God on our lives by pursuing a dynamic relationship with the Lord and God's word, attracting and leading the unsaved to Christ, and challenging each Christian to dedicate oneself to the ministry.
