We are nearing the completion of the remodeling of our 112-year-old sanctuary. In the first seven months of ownership, we have environmentally remediated the sanctuary and fellowship hall spaces that tested positive for mold and asbestos. We have also hung new dry wall throughout those spaces, erected new staging, reconfigured the footprint of the balcony, and are currently in the process of electrical and technology updates. We anticipate the opening of our congregational worship space being late October 2026. To complete this interior restoration, we are launching the Pew Sponsorship Campaign.
Prior to closing,
we learned that every pew was saturated in microscopic mold spores that would require us to strip the surfaces or replace them altogether. After consulting with pew professionals and realizing the value and life left in them, in addition to their rich history and aesthetic contribution, we decided to restore the pews with new upholstery and resurfacing. Unfortunately, the cost of that work rivals the cost of brand-new pews, given the few professionals available to us, who can perform this scope of work. After eight months of seeking someone who would agree to restore the pews, that work is finally underway. This naming opportunity will help us shoulder those cost.

In exchange for a sponsorship of $1250.00 we will place a name plate on one pew-end, dedicating the pew in honor of yourself, your family, or in memory of an individual of your choosing. Each pew-end represents a single sponsorship, with a goal of obtaining 100 name sponsors of our pews. This is the gift that keeps giving, for decades to come!

Citadel congregation comes together to begin restoration
of church.
Your sponsorship of a pew goes a long way.
It will help us to restore the pews and complete the flooring install, therefore we are hoping to secure all sponsors by Wednesday, September 30th, with a deadline of October 31, 2026, to fulfill your sponsorship commitment. You may donate more than one sponsorship, resulting in several naming plaques, which would help us to reach our goal sooner as we hope to open the sanctuary this fall. With much of our congregation being millennials, we pray that our family and friends community will rally to help us complete this restoration project for our church and community to worship upon.
SPONSORSHIP GIFT AMOUNT
$1250.00 per sponsorship. Sponsor’s name will appear on one pew-end. For a sponsorship of $2500, the sponsor may name both ends of one entire pew.
CRITICAL DEADLINES
Now-September 30th to commit as a sponsor, with a minimum $250 deposit. Deadline to fulfill sponsorship is October 31st.
